I have released version libndofdev-0.3 after two years. It seems that the kernel developers have changed the Linux input driver and the SpaceNavigator sends the more logical EV_ABS instead of EV_REL events in recent kernels (confirmed in 2.6.35). Existing SpaceNavigator Support 3DConnexion makes a nice 6DOF device reminiscent of the old SGI Spaceball – a 6DOF joystick (3 translations + 3 rotations/twists).
